Forest cake

Forest cake! It's messy decoration and the colors are just the same way as forest that we used to see...

Another Fresh Fruits cake. For Fruits lover like me, Fruit is a must! But, this cake is not for me... I made this cake for my brother's fiance birthday. She requested birthday cake♡(>◡<)♡

I put all her favorite fruits with lots of cream, so she can eat it happily... hehehehe

Thanks to her, I come up with this my new recipe cake! I'm very proud with it... New recipe again! yes!!!

Actually she is not fan of cream, what I'm trying to say is, she actually don't eat cream before. But now yes! She only eat my homemade cream.. I gotten her!

The fruits cake is a soft sponge cake and decorated with medium slices of fruits. I used soft fruits like black currents, kiwi fruits and blueberries.

I think I can't really use harder fruits like apples and pears for obvious reasons that it will be impossible to cut them. Moreover apples and pears can oxidize and turn brownish. But, I like to try them next time with those fruits.

The fresh fruits cake is pleasing to the eyes and palate. what else could you think of using this?

The fresh fruits cake is very light and overly sweet. A great cake for almost any occasion.

Happy birthday sister. Enjoy your cake and have a nice day....

My brother also haven't seen the cake yet.. hehehehe

Hazelnut Chocolate cake with fresh strawberries

Dessert!!! Dessert!! Yes~ Another simple Chocolate Cake with Sprinkle of Hazelnut inside the cake.. For extra crunch! YUM!!

Hazelnut Chocolate Cake, Fresh strawberries, white frosting...... Enough said!

It is all because I'm staring the strawberries at the corner of the market today! (>_<)

Today is dessert, impress everyone with my new recipe. It's a big success again. It's perfect for hi-tea. The cake was moist, slightly, cold and had a similar flavour to a brownies..

I was hoping that my Hazelnut Chocolate Cake with Fresh Strawberries would receive a colorful kick (and a tasty flavor) from Strawberries. But with just simple decoration like this, It's really pretty! Good thing the taste more than made up for that. And few fresh Strawberries on top solved the color dilemma.

I love finding the natural ways to color my foods. I once made a Fruit Chocolate Cake with different types of fruits. It only seemed natural with fresh fruits, right?

With it's alternating light and dark layers, rich chocolate and fresh strawberries garnishes will be a hit for any occasion.

What little girl doesn't like Chocolate Cake? The kids is no exception. Really though, They'll eat a shoe if it's covered in chocolate! One of kids favorite fruits is strawberries, so it was a no-brainier to make them a Hazelnut Chocolate Cake with Fresh Strawberries for their Hi-Tea.

I won't lie, this cake really easy and fast to make! This made my life so much easier... I can be a good wife, mom and little girl with this cake.. hehehehe *^^*

I'm very proud with this cake!

This is my go-to chocolate cake recipe! I love pairing the sweet rich cake with the light whipped cream frosting. It's overpower the cake with lots of sugar either. The fluffiness of the frosting also allows your mouth to enjoy the feel of the spongy chocolate cake and Luscious strawberries inside.

After the rain Cake

Guess what this week is? The Flawless Rainy day in here.
I'm incredibly excited! Have you ever had one of those rainy days where you want to bake something?

I've come to the conclusion that frustrating, cold rainy days only deserve one thing - CAKE!

But trapped inside, I find a new delight. The kitchen counters gloominess outside. The oven warm, rich smell do invites. Attempts at my experiment recipes I've never tried.

Fresh baking smells might lead you to deduce. I'm preparing for some kind of holiday. The truth? A cake is simply my excuse. To make your stormy day a bit less gray...

By bringing friends together, food's endowed, with silver lining, every dark rain cloud.

This month's biggest meteorological anomaly hasn't been rain one day and sun the next.. It's plain and simple rain!

I really like the rain. It makes me so happy! Today, though, the rain is wimpy and chilly and halfhearted, too tired to try. Umbrellas are taken out, then put away, then taken out again. Kids in sweatshirt draw up their hoods and shoulders. A girl in a sundress walks by looking cold and confused. Everything is desaturated in color and not-quite-saturated in water.

Today is the perfect kind of day to create a new recipe, for a After Rain cake! So it's experimenting time! A special pick-me-up, a spontaneous "be happy, friend" a digital "I miss you".

Green, Blue, Purple and Brown are the vivid color of growth, Nature and spring's new shoots and buds, evokes a Freshness and vibrant absolutely perfect for a greeting... Not only does green signal the hope and promise of new beginning, but it also goes the extra mile when it comes to cakes, making them look that much more bright, crisp and refreshing!

All the sparkling sweat appear!! The fresh look after long rainy day.. a Perfect name for my cake.

I think, this cake is really stunning with fresh and lovely fruits. Have a nice day everyone *^^*

Rainbow cake

So I did mention something about high calories in my last post.

This Rainbow cake is something about health and/or diet food. less sugar, less fat! But still taste delicious!Low calories!

This rainbow cake is another one of those local, Baltimore specialties with a royal following. Truth be told, if you find rainbow cake on the dessert table around these parts, you've stuck gold! You want to impress someone? Bring rainbow cake

What we have here is something simple!

My attempt here was admittedly my first dance with the homemade cake, so to save myself from the vapors should the cake have been a miserable failure, so I'm using my basic ingredients with my extra special sprinkle magic rainbow ingredients! *Secret Ingredients* YUM!!!

You can used a semi-homemade moment and went with a box mix and box frosting...

Don't Hate!

It's a matter of taste! But It's kinda unhealthy... I know......

If you're an overachiever, try this with your favorite homemade cake. Go crazy with more layers or different colors. Different Blue colors, from Dark to light. Black, grey to purple for birthday theme? Sure, why not?

Don't ask me why, but rainbow cake just looks yummy and beautiful.

My daddy is really hardest judge in my cooking! I decided to play it safe, and make my dad something he loves for hi-tea. Rainbow cake. My dad is really a dessert kind of guy, So, daddy is really picky. I figured I couldn't go wrong with this, and I was right! My dad loves it, and It was really the perfect thing I could gotten him. The colors are really eye-catching! Never in my life did I think my dad would request a rainbow cake ever since(^_^). I kinda proud to be daddy's little girl.. hehehehe *ahhh! I'm so SHY!!! I'm blushing!!!*

It's also healthy for my daddy. It was a huge hit and has been the most requested  cake ever since!

Nayte the Vampire's chocolate cake

Serious chocolate cake lovers, this one is for you!

Say it with me, " Nayte the vampire's Chocolate Cake" That's a mouthful- literally! I've taken my favorite devil's food cake, layered it with cream cheese and topped it with a generous portion of chocolate cream.

I'm a big fan of anything Vampire related. Werewolf too! But I love Vampire more. Vampire have always held a very seductive kind of lore and have always been some variety of attractive, whether it's attractiveness that's born of just the physical attributes that they have - this kind of ethereal beauty or translucent pallor or whether it is more to do with the way they carry themselves. Pale white and cold skin! Kyaaaaa!!!! (#^_^#) Vampire have always been hot. They are one of our most durable monsters. It's one of those stories that galvanized us early and It's always going on.

 I'm not weird, right?

Nayte is one of handsome character in my Novel!
So... I made this cake for him!

It is a joyful dish generally more wet and fluffy than most other chocolate cakes.

It's almost similar to Devil's food cake. But, Devil's food cake have little amount of chocolate and a hint of fine coffee is usually what separates a devil's food cake from an ordinary chocolate cake, though some recipes have both which results in richer chocolate flavor.

My "Nayte the Vampire's chocolate cake" using cream cheese, not coffee!

This is a super moist and fluffy rich cake stacked in 3 layers of exactly the hint amount of chocolate blended with the finest creamcheese to give a lip smacking flavor. I have to say the cake is absolutely delicious.

I am a chocolate person, but even I have to say if you make this, make sure you have plenty of people to share this with as it is a really rich cake. And if you share you won't feel guilty of eating this super moist delicious cake and if you are not a chocolate lover don't even go there!

Be careful while enjoying this cake to your heart, as it contains 716 calories!! hehehehe

Japanese Strawberry Shortcake

Japanese strawberry shortcake is different from the kind usually eaten in the United State in that it's more like an angel food cake with whipped cream icing and slice strawberries. Among Japanese people, strawberry shortcake are considered a classic dessert. In Sugamo, Tokyo, is a bakery where it is said that the finest shortcake in Japan are produced. The French Pound House Bakery is found in a quiet residential district, only a five minute walk from JR Sugamo train station.

Because they have received a lot of media exposure, their strawberry shortcake is still their top selling item. Even though they try to keep up with demand , they often run completely out of sponge cake.

For such a good reputation, I felt that it was necessary to find out myself but I can't! (=_=;) yes, because they using liqueur!

So, I tried to make my own version of Japanese strawberry shortcake without any types liqueur, orange liqueur, cherry liqueur or whatever it is. Even, I know It won't be taste as good as The French Pound House Bakery.

If you like liqueur or can drink liqueurs go ahead. Some people like to use orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Grand Mariner with strawberry shortcake as their love the combination of strawberry and slight orange taste in the background and many people use Kirsch as well, but if you not particularly a fan of it, it's a matter of taste.

I don't drink any types of alcohol drink. I just do some researched of it, for my knowledge. So, It's best to just cut off the liqueur part in my cake. So, this is my experiment of Japanese strawberry shortcake. The strawberry is just sweet and smells so good... yum!

okeyyy! I'm in some sort of strawberry madness, as you can tell by all three layers of strawberry in one cake. When you see bright red color and big sizes of strawberries in the corner of your eyes, you just gotta look, and that's very dangerous as I can hardly contain myself from staring it and end up buying it. It happens everytime, classic. Same goes to blueberry and apple too! Does it happen to you too? Please tell me that I'm not weird (>_<;)

I have confession to make. I own some cookbooks (or dessert book), not so many, but there lots of them, but I rarely or almost never followed any recipe from them. I don't know, I've always been put off in trying one of their recipes because I'm afraid that I won't like them or the recipe is just too long lengthy. Most of cookbooks that I won (all of them) are the kinds that have a very long recipes page with multiple different components, a lot of them has some bizarre ingredients that I've never heard before or the ones that cost me a fortune. So, it's better for me to do some experiment for my own recipe book.

Mango Mousse Cake

My version of  "Mango Mousse Cake". It's Mango season again! You can see mangoes everywhere. I think it's mango season, I don't know  when exact time of mango season but it's reach it cheapest price that its! But, we have mango trees at daddy's garden growing about three and four meters from my bed room. We have four mango trees at our garden. Well, it looks like we won't need to buy mangoes every years. We just have to take out the ladder and pick the mangoes off our own tree or wait the mangoes off the trees by itself. It makes me smile. Imagine, I'll be making more experiment in our kitchen like 'Mango pie, mango shakes, mango cream  pies or mango mousse cake' from our own mangoes. And the version of me harvesting herbs growing right under the shade of the mango tree makes me smile even more. How cool can that be, eh?
Juicy and sweet mangoes from our own trees.... yummm!

I made these mousse last Tuesday because I needed a little comfort food and some experiment here. I never tried any types of mousse before. ....... Funny how certain foods can make you feel good, and alternatively, there are some that can make you feel very, very bad.  Unfortunately, the latter is what I experienced last Wednesday. I suspect my lunch had some kind of strange preservative in it, because not long afterward I started seeing flashing lights. The dreaded migraine headache. They always scare the heck out of me.

I'm all better now, but the ordeal left me wanting foods with few and simple ingredients. This dessert is just that. Very simple. It reminds me of a fruit-on-the-bottom cake, only a little more dessert-like.

Dark Milky Chocolate Cake with Juicy Raspberry

Hi-tea... made this elegant 'Dark Milky Chocolate with Juicy Raspberry cakes' for hi-tea. A miniaturized version of the flour-less dark chocolate dessert was simply satisfying... The milky and nutty chocolate for the base is just perfect.

Things like this make me smile.  Giggle, even. If you are looking for something yummy to make for family on weekend, then this may just be the thing.  It's practically fool-proof!  There are minimal ingredients and it takes little time to put together. It's incredibly rich and decadent, and gets an A+ for being a great chocolate fix.  The milky chocolate base is the perfect compliment to the rich, silky chocolate cake and juicy raspberry.

There are a million ways you could tweak this recipe to make it, but I have to say it is quite good as is. this is one of my experiment cake.  Sometimes I like to give a hint as to what special ingredient is inside.
